Dear Dr. Singh,I must reiterate that I am all for the correct identification
of flora. I never even hinted that there are two groups - one for scientific
names and the other for common names - you are making that mistake. All I
have suggest is that *along with the correct Latin name* the English common
name/s should be mentioned as far as possible. Notwithstanding your
argument, it is very clear from the recent postings English common names
hardly get a mention. So far as Flowers of India is concerned it is a
distinctly separate website - we are not talking about that here. Do you
mean to say that I have to keep on switching between my inbox and Flowers of
India just to get a simple clarification on common names? I have great
respect for Tabish-ji and his website and visit it quite often for
enlightenment. Please be assured that I am contesting nothing. I simply made
a suggestion. If the moderators of Indiantreepix are unable to concede to my
request please say so unambiguously. I will understand.
