Again it is matter of opinion, I have studied all the specimens available at 
Calcutta and Pune herbarium, as well as in RBG, Kew and some European herbaria 
during my visit and concluded that the variations of gracilis and deccanensis 
are not much and intermediate forms are there.

But as per WCSP, Pogostemon erectus var. gracilis (Dalzell) Panigrahi is a syn. 
of Pogostemon erectus (Dalzell) Kuntze, Revis. Gen. Pl. 2: 530 (1891). & 
Pogostemon deccanensis (Panigrahi) Press is another accepted species.
