cvs - modules query

I've just started looking at cvs and I have a quick question (novice level). I have a number of modules in an archive each with their own public_headers directory that I want to combine into a single public_headers directory when the project is checked out. i.e. $CVSROOT/module_a/src

First, try using cvs-1.11. If that doesn't work, take a look at the patches I've posted in SourceForge under project RCVS. I think I submitted a patch to "correct" this behaviour. IIRC, there was some discussion about this. Some people prefer the current behaviour. I prefer what you expect.

Problem in checking out the file of the size 72MB(roughly)

We are using CVS for version control system Client is WINCVS 1.1 and server is at redhatLinux 5.2. We have checked in (imported) a file which is of the size 72 MB (roughly). when we tried to checkout that particular file it was giving errors some times it says  "Terminating with fatal signal 11"
