You were right on that one. I stopped the ypibnd - NIS binding process and
the things seem to be moving forward.
Now I created a sample project dir 'myproj' having sub-dirs 'bin', 'src' &
'inc'.
When I try to *import* this project into the repository i

may have caused the message to bounce.

pserver is not a separate program. It is simply a command specified
on the cvs command line (actually in inetd.conf but why split hairs?).

Anyway, in answer to your question, see if there are watches
set on the files that are being checked out read-only.
Also, look for $CVSUMASK or $CVSREAD variables set on the
client side.

My collegue has a problem with WinCVS. He has done some modifications for
several files and now when he is trying to commit files server says
"up.to.date check failed". Those file which he is trying to commit has not
