I have set up the CVS server in Linux RedHat. We tried setting up the CVS
client through WINCVS in Windows 98.
I have given the preferences as below
:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/cvsroot/
When I try to login it says
Logging into [EMAIL PROTECTED]
unknown host 192.168.160.229.

Does cvs work on the server?
Do you have a pserver set up at your server-machine?
Do you have password authentication set on your WinCVS-client?
BTW: the settings for pserver in your WinCVS-client should not contain the
modulename...
it should contain just the way to your repository

I just want to use cvs for a project's
version control.And now
I have installed the cvs1.11p1 on a sun workstation(Solaris
2.5.1) as
cvs server and Wincvs on my PC(win98)
as a client.But there are some
errs.The Wincvs show this hint :
