If it was cvs-removed, re-adding it in place should resurrect it.
If it was directly deleted inside the repository itself (i.e. rm -f Dir
) you will have to do additional work. You're best off to go get your
tape backups (you have tape backups, right?).

very much. It's great. These days I had to move all repositories to a new
machine and I can't get things back working fully. Locally everything (I

backup the whole repository (tar.gz) if any changes have been made during
the past hour. (Our cvs repository is not frequently used.) The script is
set to keep the last 5 or so copies, just in case I (or a coworker) do
which commands don't automatically work on all files if not specified?
