I created a file called `/etc/xinetd.d/cvspserver' containing the
following :
service cvspserver
{
port= 2401
socket_type = stream
protocol= tcp
wait= no
user= root
passenv= PATH
server= /usr/local/bin/cvs
server_args = -f --allow-root=/usr/cvsroot pserver
}
and start

My pserver is running under linux 6.2.
# telnet localhost 2401
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.

Connection closed by foreign host
But when i try to connect it is generating error like this
# su cvsuser
# export CVSROOT=:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/u
I will be on vacation from tue 09/24/2002 through mon 09/30/2002

I'm still fairly new to CVS (less than two months). I'm using CVS 1.11.2 on
a Solaris 7 and Solaris 8 system. I have a main trunk for development and
currently one release branch to maintain the production system. Over the
course of time the main trunk has had some files added and some removed.

Unless you've set up "cvspserver" as a hostname, that's incorrect. You
want:
telnet localhost cvspserver

It looks like cvs add -m drops the file description when working
in client/server mode.
Ir is important that I get this feature working again, but before
I start hacking away, I would like to ask a few questions of the
