Don't tag the repository remotely. Tag only the revisions in your local
sandbox. Then you are sure of exactly what revisions gets tagged.

Hi All,
I found that few features of CVS plugin for WSAD DOES
NOT work properly if the CVS server is configured to
use a repository prefix. Also its a global property
which means I cant turn that selectively ON and OFF
for different repositories in the same CVS server.
I am using CVSNT on WinN
If I use :ext:server.my.home:/repos as CVSROOT I get a different
error message saying:
'from cvs serverning: unrecognized response' ok
I have to interrupt the command as it hangs afterwards.
"rsh server.my.home cvs -v" works fine.
Any idea ??

Joerg

Dear List,
Can I restrict some users to create a branch in the
repository?
Any link or comments in this direction is helpful.
Thanks and Regards

No. In my opinion there is no such direct mechanism available.

Title: rtag question
will the command:
cvs -q rtag -D "2004-08-09 2:00 GMT" -r
put a tag on branch SOMEBRANCHTAG as the files were at 2am GMT on August 9th 2004 ?
I was warned that tagging by date had problems on branches.
The version of cvs we are using is 1.11.15.

We are looking for scripts, tools,
utilities, etc. to migrate CM information from CM Synergy to CVS. Input
and tips would also be appreciated.

Hi,
I tried to find a response to my problem in the archives, but I didn't.
I use WinCvs Client to manage files on a linux Cvs server.
No problems when I do this way.
Now I wanted to upload a text file (zipped on Windows) via ftp and then
unzip and commit it directly on the server (using telnet).
