Starting checkout of a larger Module (about 500 files; 27 MB) following
message appeared:
Protocol error: uncounted data discarded
What does this mean?

Scenario:
cvs checkout foo.c
... do nothing with foo.c, but others commit changes to foo.c
cvs update foo.c
no changes are retrieved
This does not happen everytime doing an update but from time to time. Is
there a known fact leading to duch a problem?

-we develop a new product line on the main trunk
-on a branch the old product line is maintained
-due to new naming conventions we have to rename some files in the main
trunk
-from time to time we have to merge bugfixes from the branch to the main
trunk
-merging a renamed file is not possible

I want to setup more than 3 repositories in inetd.conf. Adding the 4th
repository I loose connection to all other repositories. The syntax of
cvspserver in inetd.conf is correct and I'm able to exchange the repository
entries in inetd.conf but more than 3 repositories at the same time is not
