I've done this a while ago, so bear with me. You're using the correct
version of SSH1 (non-interactive) which is good. My suggestion would be to
get the SSH client to connect first. Are you asked for your password after
the 'Doing password authentication' line? If so, this will never work with
Did you try nmap? This should show the cvspserver on port 2401. Do you
have any local firewall rules that might block the port? I had a similar
problem when I setup my RedHat 9 machine as a server install.

I don't believe the 'edit' does a lock on the server.
