you're sharing the repo, DON'T share sandboxes; that way lies
newline chaos.
It also might be worth running CVSNT (www.cvsnt.org) on both Linux and XP
(Yes, there is a CVSNT build for Linux!).

Ok, I'm with you, but surely \n is understood by windows
controls... it
shouldn't read '\n'.
If you only have '\n' on it's own it is displayed as a vertical bar,
it into MSVC. Any
