Now I feel *really* stupid.
I have read documentation several times over the past couple of years, but
this -d thing seems to have escaped me.

user*!). I would add a directory with a file in it, and when he did "cvs
update" he saw absolutely nothing of that directory.
What on earth could this be? I'm not doing anything "funny", so I don't
understand what these random errors are coming from.
