Hi all,
I have seen that when a module in CVS contains empty folders and it is
tagged, if I do a checkout of the module the empty folders are retrieved
too but if I do a checkout of a tagged version of the module then those
empty folders are not retrieved.
I have read about the '-r' option and

No. Getting empty directories when you don't specify a revision or -P
is just an accident of history -- we generally suggest adding -P to your

As I understand it, there is no client side way to do this.
You could, if it's REALLY empty (never had any files checked into it)
remove the directory from repository directly. Usually this is a bad idea,

Quick question. Someone here accidentally added a bunch of empty directories

Unfortunately, the MacCVSPro client I am using does not have a -P like
option to not grab empty directories from the repository. Frustrating!

I am working on Solaris. Whenever I do an import, all the empty directories

you could place a .keepme file in every directory you wish to keepother than that I

Ok. How you're supposed to remove empty directories from CVS? There has
to be a way apart from hacking CVSROOT files directly.

I'm having a problem adding empty directories into a repository when
using the pserver authentication. However when I try to add the same
empty directory to the repository using the -d /path/to/repository i'm
able to do this. Anyone know why this is the case?
