Thank you very much. Well, it *sounds* like you have a case-sensitivity problem. Are you checking out to a case-insensitive file system? Is there a file or directory in the repository with the name 'cvs'? If yes to both, then you need to rename the file or directory 'cvs' to something else - CVS creates a local directory named (appropriately enough) CVS, where it stores the information it needs to manage the local files.
