Hi, Your configuration looks correct to me. To see which groups you are actually a member of use the 'id' command. You should get a list of your uid, gid(s) and their names. Thanks to give me the idea of looking more carefully to the actual group settings, the problems comes from here.

Your configuration looks correct to me. i.e adding you user name to the comma separated list of user names in the /etc/group file should be enough to add you to the cvsadmin group. This change only takes effect when logging in. To see which groups you are actually a member of use the 'id'
