export vs checkout differences: files not updated

Hello all, The manual page states that export is basically just about checkout without CVS dirs and files therein. However, I noticed that export doesn't update files at all; if they exist new files aren't exported. The output is like: --- cvs export: Updating /cfg/dist ? /cfg/dist/etc ? /cfg/
