Hi Alex, have a look at the section concerning the revision numbers in any tutorial. The revision numbers are cvs-internals, you shouldn't think about them. If you want to have number for your own purposes, you have the possiblity to set tags or even branches. When you use WinCVS you should have

Hi, I have a development branch and many of the files have ended up with obnoxious (to me) revision numbers such as "1.1.1.1.2.2". Is there some way to shorten this? I do have some such as "1.1.1.2.2.4" and "1.1.1.3.2.2" but all six-digit revisions begin with "1.1.1". There are other files wit
