I am using Debian Linux, cvs is installed on and my CVSROOT is
/var/lib/cvs.
I installed WinCvs and configure it.
But when i tried to log in or to commit or update:
I have the following message:
cvs log: in directory .:
cvs log: ignoring CVS/Root because it specifies a non-existent
repository /
Hello,
when I want to access my cvs repository via pserver, i get the error
"/var/lib/cvs: no such repository". I tried this from two different
machines (one of them was the machine with the repository on its
harddisc), so its not a networking problem.
I can access the repository locally with "

You installed WinCVS on Linux?!?

Sorry my e-mail was incomplete,
cvs server is installed on the Linux debian (it's working fine: but
whenlogging with telnet i got no such repository too).
Wincvs is installed on a winNT client on the same LAN.
we have one debian linux server, one NT server, and many NT client.

What happens if you log into the server and do:
cvs -d:pserver:[EMAI
I did here is what i got:
cvs -d:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/var/lib/cvs version

i did the following :
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ cvs -d :pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/var/lib/cvs
login

Checkout wants a module name or a relative path from the root, so the
command you want would b
