Install on FreeBSD is very easy.
cd /usr/ports/mail/cyrus-imapd
make
make install
I think it will also install sasl port itself
then u go in /usr/local/etc and configure imapd.conf and cyrus.conf for
your local needs, very easy and it works with no problems.

I have been hapily running cyrus-imapd 1.6.24 for some time. My mail
server is a black box: the users have no local accounts; imapd.conf
instructs cyrus to authenticate via PAM and /etc/pam.d/imap uses
pam_ldap.so to get user data from an OpenLDAP database. It all works
beautifully. I do not

Howdy all,
Has anyone found a solution or workaround to the 'signalled to death by 11'

Hi,
My experience is just the oppersite:
FreeBSD 4.3, Cyrus 2.0.12 from /usr/ports/mail/cyrus-imap
/usr/local/etc/imapd.conf edited with sasl_pwcheck: pam
I've also tried PAM.
/etc/pam.conf with imap auth required /usr/local/lib/pam_mysql.so
user=.
and same for pop3
But nothing

So it looks like I got much of 2.0.14 on FreeBSD working, now what is

a second MTA. My current working setup (on the dying Linux box)
Kindly refer to an earlier mail sent by Andrew K Bressen (a copy is

I know I'm replying to my own message, but that isn't as dumb as the
cause of the problem I had - one of them anyway.
Notice the master process cannot create the sieve listener or the
lmtpunix listener? Well, of course not. I gave it a bogus path in
the cyrus.conf!

Hello,
I wanted to install php with imap support to user php-cyradm. php fails
to configure, since it canĀ“t find the rfc822.h - wich is true, since I
do not have such file on my system at all.
I post this here, because the name php-cyradm somehow implies the use
with cyrus-imapd (2.0.14 here),
Hey all. Definitely making steady progress here. As long as you
accept progress as a change in error messages. :)
I now have sendmail calling deliver and dropping mail into my Inbox.

Here I am replying to my own email again. I promise it isn't a sign
that I don't want to do anything myself, just that I have no life :).
The lmtp errors were apparently a problem with lmtp executing
sendmail. ??? I thought sendmail was supposed to call lmtp, but
whatever.
Now another change
