This should work as of Cyrus 2.0.11 via the LMTP IGNOREQUOTA keyword.

It already does exactly this (at least via sendmail). W

I've used Mutt with IMAP for months and months now. The 1.3.x tree
works especially well, and should be

You can't do that with Cyr
hello,
cyrus is for "sealed servers", mainly. access to mail should be done via
IMAP or POP3.
that said, you can configure pine and mutt to access email via IMAP and
this would solve some of the problems.
procmail is another story :)

I've succesfully installed and configured cyrus hiersep-r2 version from Ken

nis is so convienent yet such a pain. you don't need anything in the

Hi everyone,
I started setting up Cyrus IMAP server a few
weeks ago and I had to take a break to setup a several NIS+ domains.
Now the machine that I am planning on being the IMAP server is a NIS+
client. The problem I have run into is that I am not able to authenticate

Please pardon me if this question is in a doc somewhere. I have

Hello again
I've configured my Cyrus 2.0.16 to work with SSL/TLS as the docs
included on the package says.
When I do:
imtest -t "" imaptest.unrc.edu.ar
i get the following:

Hi everyone, I'm posting here a kind of step by step guide for the most
newbie (like me :-) for the migration of user mailbox from Cyrus 1.5.14
to 2.0.16.
This guide worked fine in my configuration:
Old server:
- Linux SUSe 7.0
- Cyrus IMAPd 1.5.14
New server:
- Linux SUSe 7.0
- Cyrus IMAPd 2.0.
Hi,
I managed to get the above combination working - in a way. An email for a
cyrus user is accepted, gets through procmail and is delievered to
a user's inbox with Cyrus. So far so good. The problem is that sendmail
generates a "status=deferred" reply and behaves as if the mail wasn't
delivered

hello
I'm working on solaris 8.
I compiled kth-krb4, vers 1.0.9, everything was ok.
I tried to compile imapd with krb option :
configure --with-auth=krb --with-krb=/usr/athena
this worked fine
but the the compilation (make all) crashed with this error :
gcc -L/usr/local/lib -R/usr/local/lib -L/
Hi,
You can use the notify feature of Cyrus.
see contrib/notify_unix examples in the cyrus source directory.

There is a dot patch available for 2.0.12 at http://www.inbox.lv/nick
It's pretty simple and can be applied to 2.0.16 as well, just do it manually
(don't use patch command).
However, applying the patch disables direct mail sending to mailboxes with
dots.

You can get the version on
ftp://ftp.oceana.com/pub/cyrus-imapd-2.0.15-HIERSEP-r2.tar.gz

I need to create mailboxes with dots e.g.: john.smith into cyrus, but . (dot)
is used for directory hierarchy, Altnamespace thread does not help me, I cannot
find patch for this. Is a working solution? I need this for a production server.

Hi all,
finally I got vacation to work, but how can I set the sender of the vacation
messages. The best thing would be if the sender was set to the recipient of
the mail triggering the vacation message.

Sorry for the late answer, was on holiday (without vacation feature ;-( ).
Here is the script :
require ["fileinto","vacation"];
vacation :days 1 :addresses "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" "On vacation"
Here is the mail :
Return-Path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
X-Sieve: cmu-sieve 2.0
