Cyrus caches seen state in memory for a time before flushing it to
disk. Generally this works quite well; I use Outlook Express and
don't seem to have this problem, but perhaps I just don't do this
exact sequence of clicks.
It's possible to force Cyrus to synchronize seen state more quickly

I have cyrus 1.6.24 and I would like to use sieve to filter mail.
However I cannot get sieve to work, at least I don't see any filtering
and have no idea how to troubleshoot since I cannot find any logs from
cyrus.
my main question is: how to troubleshoot cyrus? is there any way to

Gurus,
We have a mail server, uclink.berkeley.edu, with about 40,000 accounts,
split between using qpopper POP server and the SMS/ExecMail/Messaging
Direct POP/IMAP server. I am hoping we can move everyone to Cyrus
within a few months, because the split system is driving me crazy and

For SSL/TLS connections, is there some way to tell cyrus-imap what sorts
of encryption to allow? Apache's mod_ssl, for example, has the
SSLCipherSuite directive, which I use thusly:
SSLCipherSuite HIGH:+MEDIUM:-LOW:-EXP:-ADH:-NULL
The touble with simply allowing all ciphers supported by OpenS

I've gotten a request at our site that I'm passing on to the list.
Any possibility that non-admin users might be able to edit another
user's Sieve scripts, as in:
sieveshell -u user1 -a user2 server
Perhaps user2 would be able to edit the Sieve script for user1 if
user2 had the "a" ACL on "us

It looks like here's your problem, you have 2 versions of db3 installed
(3.2.9 & 3.1.17). Use ldd to check if im

For the "imap" service port it should be imapd, nothing else.

I'd be interested in hearing about others' experiences on
the impact of stunnel or SASL on server resources. Any
thoughts on the relative merits of either architecture
of providing SSL sessions would also be appreciated. We'll
need to protect both the IMAP and IMSP sessions.

Hi,
I have following problem with Cyrus/Outlook express:
- user opens INBOX and clicks on one unseen mail.
- This mail is marked as Read on Outlook Express.
- user clicks on Send/Recv button to check new mail.
- Outlook Express marks previously marked email as Unread again (if

What glibc version do you have? The 2.4 kernels and older glibc versions
