Thanks Chris, the latest patch did the trick. I haven't seen that error
in the logs now.
There are a good number of file locking problems that have been fixed
since 2.1.0 was released, I recommend you upgrade, since that's exactly
what this sounds like (some process 'lost' a lock on the mailbox in
question).

Can anyone shed some light on this problem? We run a moderate-sized
Cyrus installation, using Cyrus v2.1.0pre. One user complained that
he hadn't received mail for about three days. The sendmail log had
errors like this:
Jan 8 15:16:18 electra sm-mta-q56m[8632]: [ID 801593 mail.info] h07FxquQ0
is freebsd included?

Hi,
I posted this
question a few weeks ago but never got any answers...
:(
The Cyrus server does not support quotes in mailbox
names. Is there any good reason for that? Can I just add a
quote to GOODCHARS in mboxname.c or will this cause all sorts of
problems?

Marc,
I must have mis-understood you. You need to use this option to compile
cyrus-imapd. -Wl,-zignore will ignore libraries not referenced by the
link process.
If you want to fix UCD-SNMP libs, you need to pass -Wl,-zdefs to LDFLAGS
and then add neccessary libs to the link process until every
Today one of my users complained that the inbox doesnt show any messages.
Upon investigation I saw that messages are still present, however there was an

Well, since the number of LIST operations on an IMAP server swamps

Obviously this should read "This is easy in 2.1, in 2.0..."

I believe I had the same problem until I added /etc/pam.d/imap with the
contents just like my /etc/pam.d/sshd (IIRC).
Erik.
Hello,
Quick recovery is a definite concern with Cyrus. The thing that
really needs to be looked at in my opinion is some form of
scalability/redundancy design that allows machines to be added
and removed on the fly without affecting services provided.
This implies a cluster arrangement of some s

Hi Igor,
I just compiled my UCD-SNMP libraries with the options you've told me. Now
I wanted to make sure that the kvm and kstat library is also included in
it. How can I check that ?

Having just upgraded from 1.6.24 to 2.0.17 we are having problems with mail
clients hanging at the point where they scan the entire hierarchy for
shared folders which the user might have access to.
It takes a few hours, after the server is started, for this to occur. This
