I did 2 things to try and see if this was ident related. First, I installed an
identd server on each frontend and backend.

of mail load that sendmail takes over 30 seconds to send a small message
(sometimes over a minute). So I've picked a few "stuck" sendmails and strace'd
them.

deleting mails is very uncomfortable for them. All mails beeing deleted
are shown canceled. Only after going to the menu and deleting the mails
