On 2.1, it is impossible I think. On 2.2, the two functionalities are
separate.

Speaking about Sendmail: this is a myth and prejudice. I don't say
Sendmail configuration is trivial. But i

(Read Postfix's FILTER_README.) You can plug in anything that speaks
SMTP, for example. The docs also provide you with a sample shell script
that can be used (albeit inefficiently) quite easily.

I 've just installed IMAPD and got it up and running (after discovering
the hard way that PostFix also has a master command :-).
I do however have a problem. the imtest and any attempt to add users or
connect from telnet all get the response of a password request. All well
and good, but how do

I don't believe this is the case... We set it to "no" on our site because
we see a lot of lock contention on the duplicate delivery database. The
problem is that setting it to "no" doesn't help if you have SIEVE enabled
in your server. From what I could tell in the source code, SIEVE makes

hi oliver,
But do be warned that YOU are going to be the guinea pig on how Cyrus works
with DB 4.3.
So far it seems fine on _my_ test-system...
the BDB build/install went perfectly for me, but i was having lots of 'odd'
behaviors with BDB 4.3.x in a number of dependent apps ... incl. cyrus.

Hi everybody,
got a strange problem here. One customer is using imap with outlook xp
for mua to a cyrus-2.1.15-35-server . He has a directory called "Sent"
with Subdirectories. Now he can't see this dir in its mua anymore and I
figured out that the files cyrus.index, cyrus.header and cyrus.cache

AFAIK Cyrus is NOT supposed to be used with that yet. So, yes, you will get
compilation errors.
As usual Berkley fixed a lot of bugs within 4.3 and they chang

now I am trying to get postfix to work with cyrus imap.
but I keep getting this ugly messege when I try to check my mail
"[SYS/PERM] Unable to locate maildrop: Mailbox does not exist"
any thought?

Hi,

duplicatesuppression: yes
If enabled, lmtpd will suppress delivery of a message
to a mailbox if a message with the same message-id (or
resent-message-id) is recorded as having already been
delivered to the mailbo
