An update - just done an strace, and it seems to be
stalling sometimes when trying to read from /dev/random. I'm guessing that
because /dev/random is fed from user input, when there is no user input - being
a server - entropy runs low and the kernel blocks access.
Sure enough, catting /dev/
Hi,
I've just installed Cyrus 2.2.12 as a mailbox
solution, but an having a small problem with POP3 - it seems to stop processing
connections. For example - I've just done a whole load of consecutive send and
recieves, which flew through. Then all of a sudden it stops, and connections can
You commented that you want to use sasldb and not mysql.
So you have to configure your imap (imap.conf) like this:
sasl_pwcheck_method: auxprop
sasl_mech_list: PLAIN
Whith auxprop you tell imap to use the sasldb.
When you going to use PLAIN passwords you should maybe look into encryption

Is it working on 2.2.12 or not ?
I don't want to use a cvs/dev version for this server.
I think it is, you will need to rebuild cyrus-imapd for pts/ldap.

Hello,
I've never set up mail on linux, and am struggling to get Cyrus up and
running. We have a need for IMAP, and after some long research, I feel
Cyrus is our best bet.
I'm running Cyrus on SuSE Enterprise Linux 9. They won't help me with
the configuration - we got 30 days installation suppo
Squirrelmail has a feature to create its special folders on first login.
That's probably what has happened, in this case.

We're currently trying to figure out how to organize non-personal
mailboxes. Many departments and divisions like to have incoming
mailboxes for official mail to the unit, and we'd like to keep that
separate from any one user's mailbox.
