Virtual users doesn't matter - in essence, all cyrus-imapd users are virtual. To check the various autocreate features that are available to you, see... ls -l /usr/share/doc/cyrus-imapd-2.2.12/README.auto* FWIW, I actually don't use the RHEL or CentOS distribution rpms but build from Simon's rpm
