know there is no pam_mysql-package for SLES9. I have had the
same problem and had to compile it by my self.
If you find a package for SLES9 I'd love to know where it is :)

Actually i had to install from source, which worked out fine after i
that this is a SUSE box (9.2, 2.6 kernel) where
Reiser is the default FS.
I would use LVM at least for the /var/spool/imap directory. With LVM you
may easely increase the size of /var/spool/imap.

you have any other delays on that SuSE-server? I mean delays that are
related to any of the other network services on the server.
