Is there a way to do an expunge on a mailbox hierarchy or on a folder,
rather than on the whole system? It doesn't seem that cyr-expire has
this feature. Thanks in advance.

Marten, if you're writing your own scripts, download the IMAP::Admin
Perl module from CPAN and use that, instead. It will let you connect
via SSL.

Hello,
how can I connect to the Cyrus-Server with Cyrus::IMAP::Admin through SSL?
Currently I am using
Cyrus::IMAP::Admin
We're running 2.2.12 in production here, but my impression from traffic
on this list is that at least a few people are using 2.3, even though
2.3 is a testing distribution. Is that accurate? Is 2.3 stable enough
to use on a production mail server? Thanks.

If I hacked our init script to delete deliver.db before starting Cyrus
IMAPD, what adverse consequences would there be, if any? We recently
were bitten by deliver.db corruption when our mail server went down
ungracefully.
Thanks in advance.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of the different --with-idle
methods? Are there any rules of thumb on when one would be more
advisable to use than the others? Thanks.

Yossie, when I was looking at imapsync, I ran into the same problem.
What I wound up doing was, I'd transfer the uw inbox into user/INBOX,
and then, I'd move the mail messages up out of the INBOX folder, do a
reconstruct, and delete INBOX. Then I'd transfer the rest of the folder
sed imapsync to
transfer folders for several hundred users?
Karl Boyken
Hi,
Try to use imapsync,
I'd suggest you to use the following options with imapsync tool:
--include '^Sent' --subscribe

I'm using Cyrus IMAPD 2.2.3. When I delete a user, I'd like to first
archive his folders, so that I can restore them later, if necessary.
What's the best way to accomplish this? Thanks in advance.
