Stupid question: how can a user setup something like .forward and the
vacation thingie (i.e. saying he is away for the time being) under cyrus
if he does not have direct access (i.e. cannot login) to the mail server?

I know this was covered before but I just cannot find it anywhere. How
does Cyrus do IMAP SSL authentication? I want to deply cyrus both at
work (suse enterprise 9) and at home (debian 3 stable) and would like to
be able to have that in both setups. Anyone?

I've installed cyrus in my debian box as a package. Now I would like to
configure it so it used imapds (port 993). Could anyone outlineme what I need to get
going? For instance, I've created a certificate, installed it in /var/imap/ and added
