idea, and would definitely reconsider
using replication at this site if this was implemented.

David,
What's the value of unixhierarchysep in your imapd.conf? If you have .
in a username, you'll need it enabled.

Strange...
I use % instead of * - is that just a version difference thing, or should I
be using * ?
I'm using:
cmd=ipurge -X -d 6 -f user/%/SPAM
I use the -X so that emails with a date in the distant future (furthest I've
seen is 2012) don't stick around until then.
HTH,

Ken,
Thanks for the prompt response. I tried that, restarted imapd, and
still get the same error. Any idea what module the code for this sits in, I
can take a look, too?

That's actually a good question. Who *does* create/package releases? If
there's a need, I'm sure someone from this community would gladly do what
they can.

Does the version of imapd you're installing have a requirement for bdb
4.3.28? If not, and it can work with 4.1.25, why not work with that?

How do I enable pam for saslauthd so that it works for me.
Thanks a lot in advance.

Did you use --with-pam=/path/to/pam when you ran configure?

My guess would be the Cyrus::IMAP Perl module as a place to start.
Otherwise, I don't know of any way to automate this using the cyrus
distribution.

With the -d option added to unexpunge, there's really no need for option B
at all. I'd say A.

To help such clients, I have
also implemented a -d option for the unexpunge utility which unsets
Squirrelmail has a feature to create its special folders on first login.
That's probably what has happened, in this case.
Just my guess. :)

I believe removing the c flag will remove the rights to create subfolders.
You'll want to also remove the a flag, if set, as this will let them
change the ACLs on the folder in question.
I don't know if being owner of the folder will override this, but I don't
think it will.
HTH,

an account that has shared folders, as opposed to
a bulletin board concept.
Unfortunately, I can find no documentation on how to get postfix to pass
along the messages properly.
Any ideas? I hope they don't involve switching to sendmail..

Let's try specifying the server a different way on the command line. I
had similar problems at one point, and after much trial and tribulation,
I used a similar commandline as below.
cyradm --user imap --auth login --server zidd-198.tu-graz.ac.at

on server B, I want to export all of the folders (and messages, if
possible) off of Server A, and then import them onto Server B - giving
me a backup of sorts.
Is there any way to do this? If not, is there any other interest in
developing a tool such as this?

Thanks to Dave and Andrew for the assistance! I'll get right to
researching these two solutions.. If I have further trouble, I'll dig
into it here or in the archives.
Again, thanks!
