Hi,
I'm going to sync between a Gentoo (master) and a Debian 8 machine
(replica), Gentoo on Cyrus 2.4.17, Debian on "testing" Cyrus 2.4.18
because of broken sync in "stable"
I am using virtual domains.
I've tried synctest from the m
Hi,
I am using postfix / cyrus on a Gentoo Linux box for ahem...a while (10
years) now.
Current cyrus is 2.4.17, postfix 2.9.5 , the box is a dual Xeon (2.4
GHz, family 15, model2, stepping 7), 2 GB memory, a HW RAID 5 (ICP
Vortex, now Intel), and yes it 10 years old this year. Never had

Hi,
I just updated Cyrus Imapd on our somewhat old mailsever (dual-Xeon, but
8 years now, running gentoo linux) from 2.3.16 to 2.4.12
(options USE="berkdb kerberos pam replication sieve snmp sqlite ssl tcpd
-afs -mysql -nntp -postgres")
There is no murder and I also could drop sqlite, if bett

Hi,
I'm trying to add a sievescript for somebody else than me.
sieveshell --user=theuser --authname=cyrus localhost
logs in flawlessly with cyrus credentials.
But I can't list any script for "theuser". If I connect with my own
credentials (user a/o authname) I see my scripts (uploaded by Squir

Hi,
after upgrading some parts of our server (Gentoo Linux), cyrus 2.3.14 is
crashing with lmtp deliver *only* on Shared Folders.
Using lmtptest, the server dies when
RCPT TO: <+any-shared-folder-mail-address>
by closing the connection. dmesg tells:
lmtpd[5838]: segfault at 16ce eip 0808f1

this does not help. When deleting the mailbox I recognize that cyradm
still sees that - maybe because of mailboxes.db:

Hi,
I have problem with a mailbox of one user:
trying to select a mailboxs ends up in:
master[1100]: service imap pid 3135 in BUSY state: terminated abnormally
I tried to reconstruct the mailbox, but this did not help.
Even deleting and creating an new one (same name of cause) still results

Stupid question: how can a user setup something like .forward and

Cyrus uses sieve for that. A cool thingy, de

The disadvantage of using PAM is that the mail users get system accounts.
Are you really sure ? I don't know PAM on solaris, but if you only
allow imap, sieve and possibly pop3 in e.g. /etc/pam.d/ user can't get
an interactive account.

I'm not sure that's going to solve the issue completely, but I'd
recommend checkpointing more often. We use:
checkpointcmd="ctl_cyrusdb -c" period=5
That way a restart of the server will be much quicker, too.
I've changed it to that value, but I have to kill ctl_
Hi,
I'am running a cyrus-imapd 2.1.15 on Gentoo-Linux since 9 month. We use
lmtp to deliver mail from Postfix. Three weeks ago, we recognized a
strange problem in accessing folders / mailboxes: it took very long.
I have the usual DB lockers problem in /var/log/messages, but this does
not seem to
