So I would hope deliver lmtpd would be running as imap:imap. Is there a way
to check this?

EX_TEMPFAIL
I guess it shows that sendmail is trying to pass mail to deliver and deliver is
exiting with an error. But I sure can't see why. Maybe you can make some
sense out of this.
