Having just installed an otherwise apparantly fine version of Cyrus
1.5.19, i see lots of the following in /var/log/messages:
Nov 21 14:36:39 imap deliver[23677]: Unable to open lock file:
/var/imap/deliverdb/deliver-a.lock: No such file or directory
Nov 21 14:36:39 imap deliver[23677]: Unable
i've spent some time trying to get recent versions of cyrus-imapd
working on RH7, but from both source and rpm install, i've only run into
problems (the 'file descriptor' (if i use rpm) and 'signalled to death'
(if i install from source, even using the most recent db from sleepycay)

i had exactly the same problem...you might want to contact Larry M.
Rosenbaum <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, who has a sceript that does the trick
