Scott, just for some simulated testing I installed Cyrus 2.3 on a test box and loaded up a mailbox to over 10GB (hundreds of thousands of tiny messages). The mailbox was still responsive, however the squat process would take a long time to run and would lock the mailbox for long periods while i

Perhaps I didn't describe the max quota limit problem good enough: When your system is affected by this problem and you set a quota greater than 2 GB, it results in running mad. In this case it will report over quota way before 2GB. Setting quota back to 2GB (or some bytes below), the user wil

Thanks for everyone's ideas. I helped the guy move mail into local folders, and eventually, the problem disappeared. He still has a quota greater than 2 Gb, so that apparently wasn't the problem. Anyway, he's an outlier, and he is working on reducing his disk usage now, so, all is well, for

I've been helping my over-quota user move mail out of his Inbox into local folders with Thunderbird. His disk usage is down to a current usage of 1524826 bk, and a du shows 1642048 kb. But lmtpunix is still bouncing his mail with "Over quota" messages, even though his quota is still 4,250,000
