Last week we had some file systems errors and we had to run a fsck
on a cyrus
file system. During the fsck, it had to remove and fix a lot of files
and directories.
The result, I think, it was a corrupted data base , mailboxes.db,
because since
that we had to run a lot of
and cyrus 2.15 (?)

You can try db_recover. If that fails, read the BDB docs and utilizing
the backups in /var/imap/db.backup1/ and /var/imap/db.backup2/

We are in the process of replacing our 1.5.24 Cyrus box with a new 2.1.15
box. After we got everything setup, tested and stabilized we rebooted the

Uh, you wouldn't have a readable mailbox list, really...
The binaries would be expecting a skiplist mailbox list, but you'd be
giving them a Berkeley DB one.

While testing our new Cyrus installation, I am frequently seeing messages
like this in the log:
imapd[197924]: DBERROR db3: 4 lockers
Software releases being used:
Cyrus 2.0.16
SASL 1.5.24
BerkeleyDB 3.3.11
The machine is a RS/6000 running AIX 4.3.3.0.
