I know I'm replying to my own message, but that isn't as dumb as the
cause of the problem I had - one of them anyway.
Notice the master process cannot create the sieve listener or the
lmtpunix listener? Well, of course not. I gave it a bogus path in
the cyrus.conf!
Changed this line:
lmtpunix cmd="lmtpd" listen="/var/imap/socket/lmtp" prefork=0
to this:
lmtpunix cmd="lmtpd" listen="/home/mail/socket/lmtp" prefork=0
and the nasty errors went away.
The log entries are still blowing out to every freakin' xterm I have
up tho.
Maybe changing the syslog entries to local6.* would help?
I dunno. I'll have to give it a shot.
