I wondered about the passphrase myself. The instructions GoDaddy
provides are, of course, tailored for Apache, and maybe they think
entering a passphrase is a reasonable thing to have to do, though I
can't imagine what server admin would actually want that.

Is it possible to use client-auth with ssl-certificates on the cyrus
imapserver. Additional to providing the passwort a client needs to have
an issued client-certificate installed which is checked by the imap-server.

You are limited to one cert per service per config file. If you want to
have different certs for different imapd, then you'll have to use
separate config files (-C option) for each imapd.
