Hi, I have a cyrus 2.1.15 running on Suse 9.0. It authenticates againt sasl2 (saslauthd), which uses ldap to get the credentials. And now, if I put in invalid usernames or passwords, I get the following outout: --- snip --- mail:~ # telnet localhost 110 Trying ::1... telnet: connect to address

Does saslauthd dump when you login with an invalid username? No, the daemon is up and running all the time. A login try with correct credentials is successful. The only other thing I can suggest is to upgrade sasl first. You should also upgrade cyrus-imap; it is kinda old... Updating sasl
