Both errors are a result of your client trying to use a SASL mech which you don't have secrets for. In the case of OTP, you have the OPIE library installed and SASL found it, so it is assuming that the secrets are in /etc/opiekeys, otherwise it would be using /etc/sasldb2 as well. If you don't
