Gnus v5.13
GNU Emacs 23.0.60.1 (i486-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.12.0) of
2007-12-30 on iridium
and happily editing French emails and documents in utf-8 which gnus
handles beautifully for posting and reading.

I've been using gnus for a while, and it's a very appealing system. But
I have one problem: sometimes gnus does not notice new emails in my imap
inbox. These emails show up in mutt and Thunderbird, but not in gnus. I
use M-g, and still nothing. I also try g and the fetch options from the

Been making more use of group levels lately and thought it would be
awfully nice if "L" (normally gnus-group-list-all-groups) would
instead progressively increase the listing level in steps. That is,
determine the currently listed level and bump it to display more.
Below is a poor implementation
