I have Gnus installed on 2 computers ("desktop" and "laptop"). I would
like my groups to have exactly the same parameters in both cases. It
doesn't have to be completely automatic, but not completely manual,
either; that is, I want to avoid doing G c on each group on each
computer and entering th

why the variable, which was nil when I'd visited it in customize,

A workaround should be setting my own rmail-dont-reply-to-names. I
haven't tried yet but I'm confident it will work.
Can we just agree that this interface needs improvement? ;-)

Hmm yes, it does seem to work. I wonder how, though? How does Gnus
know that this virtual server is the same as my primary one? Is it

vides.
GUI user agents such as Sylpheed and Claws seem to know how to do this,
can Gnus be told to do it?
If not, I can hack it by always Bcc'ing myself and having a filter on
the server to direct those copies to the folder. But I would rather not
have to.

My main mail source is a directory with multiple spool folders,
into which I split with procmail. I prefer splitting with procmail
to Gnus' built-in nnmail-split mechanism for various reasons and
don't want to change that. Now what if I want to fetch from the

People in mailing lists often use broken MUAs or else are just careless
and ignore thread structure when posting. Is there any way in Gnus to
