Hi,
I'd like to explicitly set a path to openssl program. What variable
should I set in .gnus? Normally it takes its path from PATH.
Thanks.

I found (by chance) it works with openssl which is part of git. You can
install git from http://code.google.com/p/msysgit/downloads/list.

If you're willing to go this route, the Cygwin tools do include a full

Well it is not imap, but another solution you might not want:
You can always use fetchmail to fetch your mail from google, and then
read it with gnus. Of course you have to activate pop through googles

Make sure you use the string lynx, not the symbol 'lynx. Maybe you

Hello,
I am not able to retreive post from my gmail account.
I use gnutls-cli with gnus 5.11 on windows.
I reduced my .emacs to 0 size and .gnus to the following:
(setq gnus-select-method '(nntp news.gmane.org))
(add-to-list 'gnus-secondary-select-methods '(nnml ))
(setq pop3-debug t)

This is probably the problem. I use starttls:

Hello,
some time ago I tried to use gnus to fetch messages from my gmail
account. I googled this group and applied offered suggestions but wasn't
successfull.
This is gnus v5.11 on windows. So is it actually possible with this
version to make gnus communicate with gmail or is it not worthwhile?

Hi, my server admin deleted messages so article numbers start from 1.
Which way should I remove the old numbering of articles in my gnus?
Thanks.
