openOffice.org (
http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/ooo-osx_downloads.html ) has a
compatible version for OS X, but I haven't tried it. I heard somewhere
(I think from one of you) that it isn't as slick as the Windows and
Linux Versions, but is still functional
I haven't checked version 7 yet, but
If you go to the Sun web site:
http://wwws.sun.com/software/product_family/staroffice.html
I do not believe they have a Mac version but the cost is well worth it. I have only
find minor problems like importing but if we save stuff as RTF then we have no
problems with importing.

Get the Star Office Suite at
http://wwws.sun.com/software/star/staroffice/index.html
Right now, when you get the CD, it will have the Windows, Linux, and
Solaris versions. If you want to download it, you will have to basically
establish that you are an educational institution: More info below:
Ho
Jerry,
Could you send out info on where to get Star Office for the school
at $25?
Is there a Mac version? What systems does it run on?
Can teacher's also use this on their home computers?
Thanks,
Ann

You might want to try Star Office 7 - It's much faster IMHO
They have an evaluation version that last until the end of December, but
schools still get the big discount. $25 for all you machines to cover
the cost of the media
