Can’t be done with Google.  What I have done is to block Google at the firewall and use Altavista.  Has the same clean front end, uses the Google engine and the parent filter works and is truly password protected.  

I complained to Google but they don’t seem to care now that they are a public entity.  Stock holders want profit at all cost.
