Just thought I would tell everybody that I am working on preparing documentation for my USF audit on April 7. Hope you don't get randomly (yeah right) selected because they don't give you any time and it is a pain in the butt to get all the compliance stuff in place. I said last year that they would audit me on this item because I fought with them on it. Random, I don't think so!
First the audit is for a $4800 data circuit for year 2006. Second, they are going to fly in 5 people to do the audit which could take up to 5 days. I don't know about you but flying people in at the last minute (they informed of the upcoming audit on March 11), is going to cost more than the $4800. Third, like I don't have anything else to do, I have now collected at least 35 pages of evidence that they want BEFORE they come out. They asked me for the nearest airport and I told them Denver, then they need to rent a car and drive 700 miles to our location :) At the april meeting I will bring the stuff so you can see what they are looking for and what a pain in the butt it is. Now you know why I am at school on my day off! Thanks! Jon W. Hueser- MSE, Ed.
