One way to block https sites without having to decrypt/reencrypt the traffic (which usually causes issues) is to use OpenDNS as your external DNS provider. It's free and easy to use in conjunction with any other internal service. They also have some nice reporting features for what it's gettin

you also have to have the following checked... "block non-http traffic to blocked ip addresses" "block non-http traffic to unknown ip addresses" "block unknown urls" "block unknown urls matching proxy patterns" BUT they will still find a few to proxy throughand these checked can and will cause
