Summary SharePoint Designer 2007 is a free product available as a download at www.microsoft.com/spd. This change is being made in order to help customers get the most value out of their investments in SharePoint and to promote even more customizations on the platform. Microsoft will remove SharePoint Designer 2007 from the April 2009 Volume Licensing price list. Customers with active Software Assurance on SharePoint Designer 2007 as of April 1, 2009 will get rights to Expression Web. The next version of SharePoint Designer will also be available as a free download, and will ship simultaneously with the next release of SharePoint.
