Only 9% of the U.S. population is bilingual, compared with 65% of the world's
population (U.S. Census). The growth of the 21st century economy demands Iowa's
students compete with peers from across the globe. How can our students compete
if they can't communicate?
Due to the immense popularity of the fall IEC purchase, the IEC has negotiated
an extension of the special rate for Rosetta Stone® Classroom licenses. This
special price extension is available until December 15, 2010. Rosetta Stone
Classroom is an approved software product for Microsoft Settlement Funds and
available through the Software Voucher opportunity.
Rosetta Stone® Classroom enables Iowa schools to bring second language skills
to every student in the school with existing teacher headcount.
A Rosetta Stone expert will attend five Area Education Agency meetings
scheduled November 15th - 19th, from 1:00 pm - 4:00pm. The format for these
events will be presentation, demonstration, Q&A starting at 1:00pm and 2:30pm.
