I need to plan for racking and switching of up to 600 drops in a single IDF room for a new Middle school. The cabling will be installed by a contractor however switching and rack hardware will be my end of it. We currently are using Foundry/Brocade switching with POE but not all ports would need POE. Anyone out there who has been through something similar may have some good ideas on what they would put into a new installation. All cable will be CAT 6. I'll cast out for ideas.
