This is good news! The Connectivity Grants will be offered again this year. If your district/building has never received this grant, this is a great opportunity to apply for additional tech funds. FYI- If you have received the grant in the past, you can apply again, but bonus points are awarded to schools never having received the grant.

Subject: 2004-2005 Connectivity Site Contract competition announcement

The Iowa Star Schools Project is pleased to announce the 2004-2005 Connectivity Site Contract competition. This funding opportunity supports the telecommunications connectivity and educational technology needs of Iowa public elementary and middle schools (PK-8).

Application materials are being mailed to all Iowa public school superintendents. The Guidelines and Application document, as well as writing tips and frequently asked questions, is also available from the Connectivity Site Contract Web site: http://www3.iptv.org/csc/

This year’s application deadline is October 8, 2004.

The maximum school building award is $25,000.

The 2004-2005 competition will not include a “continuation” category.
